Let others know what you would like in the way of gifts. It’s only kind. Certainly people are free to buy whatever they choose, but some folks are gift challenged and having a few ideas can be a sanity saver….

Whatever you get, be thankful and gracious. Gifts are an expression of love and you don’t ever want to disdain someone’s love.

Some people will never be satisfied with the gift you give them (it’s a wound thing). Pretend they are reasonable people, buy a reasonable gift and move on. You can’t change them. Don’t lose any sleep over it.
