Poem: He Is With You

He is with you when you walk the path and find the streets of gold,

not seeing Him means nothing much, He’s there for young and old.

For all the time we’re living, we look to Him for aid,

and try to fill the purpose for which we think we’re made.

He is with you when we’re sleeping as we rest our heads from work;

we know that God is on our side when evil tends to lurk.

As we travel in our daily life and look for what we lack,

it means alot to have our faith and know He’s got our back.

He is with you when we love our own, and raise them to be free,

I only hope they find their way, then Jesus they will see.

Giving them direction to search and find their way,

will lead them to the Promised Land upon their final day.

He is with me as I write this rhyme, and shares the strength I feel;

Someone He sent has come to me, and helped me to be real.

No matter as it moves ahead, a day, a month, or years,

as long as He is with you, it’ll take away your fears.
