God’s Grace to the Righteous and the Wicked

colossians3.12

Our Triune God is full of mercy and grace. He withholds wrath and anger from those who reject Him. Yet, He also lavishes blessing on those same rebels (Matthew 5:45).  When God sets a rainbow in the sky, both the righteous and the unrighteous can freely marvel at it’s beauty. Believers and unbelievers alike are awestruck when they hear the cries of their newborn child. They don’t deserve it, but God still allows them to receive those blessings.

It should be that way with God’s children as well, for we were once rebels and not worthy of His grace. So, let’s be kind to the unkind and love those who aren’t so easy to love.

“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men” (Luke 6:35).
