Covenant Not Compromise

Lukewarm Christianity is an oxymoron. If you truly are a Christian, one who bears His name, and carries His light, apathy is unfathomable. The God of all creation abides in you; indwells your heart and mind and very being. He is your guide, your teacher the one whom you submit to and are led by (Rom. 8:14). If you belong to Christ, you are filled by Him (Holy Spirit); overflowing with living waters.  And what have you got to give? EVERYTHING.  The time is not long or even tarrying. He comes as a thief in the night to those unaware (2Pet.3:10, 1 Thess. 5:2); those who care more for the world than Him. If we believe we can compromise truth and still receive His crown of life, still finish the race, we are sorely mistaken.

“Behold, I AM coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophesy of this book.”(Rev.227)

We are told “…there shall be no night there. They need no lamp, nor light of the sun, for the Lord gives them light. And they shall reign forever.” (Rev.22:5) That is His promise. What have we promised? What does He ask of us? It begins and ends with faith…with faith we come to receive Him, with faith we become sons, become His….with faith we walk in the Spirit….with faith we put off the old and put on Christ…with faith we continue earnestly… with faith we are sober and vigilant….with faith we fight the good fight of faith……with faith we finish the race. Not through the works of the flesh, trying to conjure up His approval. But, by yielding to His Spirit. We walk in the Spirit ,and through Him, we shall not fulfil the lusts of the flesh. Yielding our wills, our way to His, the One sent to lead us, Holy Ghost. If we are led by Him, He should be deemed, our leader. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Rom. 8:14)

We are warned not to be led astray from steadfastness (2Peter 3:17) Being His is not a one way street of bless me Lord and You do all the rest… is a relationship….a covenant purchased by blood (Jesus’) and given by LOVE. We give our old selves, the dead man, filthy righteousness (rags compared to HIS), for newness in Him, for life eternal, for fullness in God….do we then proceed to live for ourselves that are dead? Or do we live for Him who gave Himself up for us. (Gal.5:20-21)

Compromise is not only about giving into the flesh, but caring little for Him (Elohim) and especially treating Holy Spirit as an unwelcome relative you are hoping will leave soon. People recoil from Holy Spirit and the Truth He wields when they prefer compromise over conviction, reticence over repentance and shallowness over shalom (perfection/completion in Him). Compromise is a choice, not inevitability. Many believers really do not believe He is coming back… all sounds distant, esoteric, and surreal. But He is returning and when He returns will He find faith? We know what He will find: scoffers, those more interested in themselves than Him (2Peter 3:3).  He will find unready, foolish virgins with no oil (Spirit) in their lamps and lovers of pleasure, not lovers of God. (2Tim. 3:1-5).  But will He find faith? (Luke 18:8) Our faith demonstrates His covenant. He gave……we believe, receive and then live through Him. Or do we?

In Revelation chapter 2 the Spirit (Holy Spirit) speaks to the churches. Of the lukewarm aka Laodicea, He says they will be vomited out of the mouth of Him “The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the Creation of God.” (Rev 3:14-18). The Spirit recommends instead of their indifference they buy from Him (not of the world) gold refined in the fire. (Rev.3:18) What is refined in the fire to be more precious than gold? FAITH…we buy it, purchase it, gain it from HIM. It cannot be attained from or by the world. It is produced through trial,  “…so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Untested we can believe we have a steadfast faith, tested we will be assured of it. The Spirit produces the fruit   that no money, wealth, position or doctrine can buy. Only yielding to Him can acquire such prized rarity. True faith refined into pure trust……that dwells in our hearts where our treasure is….Him.

Yet, how is it living for Him has become an interruption to the modern (lukewarm) Christian? Without relationship covenant matters not, and without covenant closeness seems dispensable, without closeness/fellowship with God, living for Him is a big ask; an unnecessary demand. And without LOVE (Him) we are nothing.

There is a deadening in the Body (as some do not want to awaken); some choose to believe deception from deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. (2Thess 2:3, 1 Tim. 4:1) Those who refuse to live by, yield to, truth will be sent a strong delusion… a lie becomes their truth. Buy why? Has He not done enough? It isn’t “Lord, Lord, look what I did for you?” It is “Lord, Lord I am humbled by what You have done for me.” We don’t demand entrance into the kingdom by our works; neither do we sneak in like a thief climbing in another way (John 10:1-9); like the wedding guest found out by the Master of the wedding without a garment. Our garment is His righteousness for our rags….our faith is our invitation to salvation answered. There is no other way. Doctrinal arguments and theological treatises aside, we are saved by grace through faith; not by performance and not by lustful self-direction.

In latter times some will depart from the faith (2Thess 2:1-4, 2Peter 2:1-5, 2Tim. 3:1-5)….everything we have been given by Him we receive through faith. If we shelve it, toss it aside, refuse or denounce it how can the promises all be yes and amen? They are only yes and amen in Him (Christ Jesus). We are in a covenant. His part is life eternal, offered up through His Son….our part is faith in such a ONE, Jesus Christ, offered. Without that faith, we are not saved. We are not irreproachable, blameless, righteous and free. Without faith there is no covenant. Let us ask ourselves.God’s language is not compromise, but covenant ~ is that our language with HIM?

Our faith is our oath (covenant) SIGNED WITH Christ’s blood and SEALED with the Holy Spirit to Him (ELOHIM); more precious than gold to Him  who gave Himself for us.

My love affair with the Lord began on a small island off of Australia. He revealed the depth of His love. Opened my heart to what the Cross actually achieved and what He had to pay to accomplish such a final solution. Separating Himself from Himself for me (on the Cross). I fell in love in that instant and I was finished…finished looking for God, finished fighting Him, finished listening to any other possibility. Radically saved, I have never been the same….much like Paul, I was chief of sinners and forgiven much I have only one choice, to love much.

He has taken me all over the world and continues to do so…from Africa to Asia and many as yet, untravelled places. My ministry is all Spirit led, even to the point of giving Him my mouth to use as He sees fit, moment by moment. Whether teaching or preaching, He determines what is said, what is needed by the hearer and what will move their heart, heal their bodies and give them liberty. He has had me write articles, e-journals (on knowing Holy Spirit personally) and present weekly live Skype teachings on the subject of His (Holy Spirit’s) choice. Healing has been another area He has had me focus upon.

My online live and in person healing ministry has produced such amazing miracles, (from malaria to cancer being healed), I sometimes wonder if I was even involved. But that is the greatness of our God. Teaching other believers their birthright in healing has also been a privilege. So whether I am in a Western country or the rural areas of Africa, believers learn about Holy Spirit and is essential role in their lives as a Person, the truth about grace and the Gospel and how to minister healing to their own families and neighbours. It is a full life and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.  Triumph Ministries.
