Because He Rose

Because He Rose, I Will Rise Also… such awesome words. There is such promise in Christ. Each Easter we are reminded anew of the resurrection power of Christ, I am also drawn to the very being of Christ.

Thinking about our Savior and being reminded of a song that reflects the Biblical truth that in Him we live and have our being… every move I make, is in You, Jesus!!

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

How fitting and how right that our Savior be in everything that we do. He created us, after all. He is the lover of our soul. He is the eternal Word. How incredible that Jesus encompasses ALL things.

In John 1:1-4 amazes me. We are instructed to meditate on the Word and when it comes to this section of verses, my soul dances and I can scarcely comprehend the richness of Christ and the goodness of God.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

And so, as we become children of the light… this light dwells within us. We have opportunity to share this with others, to allow the light to shine from within.

Ah, that He abides within. Another incredible concept. How can it be that this Savior, the one who created us, who lives eternally, who loves us and gives us being, decides to abide within us?   It is because, in Him, we have the power to overcome the flesh and anything that is contrary to the Word of God. We must be fed spiritually to be found strong in Him. Our key to refraining from sin is to fill our hearts with His Word.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sinagainst thee.

Because we are called to share this light with others, let us consider these verses:

“Also He said unto them, Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?” Mark 4:21

… and continuing with Mark 4: 22-25 “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If Anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. The He said to them, Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will given, but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

Our lives should be a reflection of the One who created us, who redeemed us, and with whom we will live eternally. Let us walk in this revelation, knowing that all things will be brought into the light, nothing is hidden… let our first love (Jesus) be brilliantly shining in all that we do and all that we are. We are responsible for our witness here on earth; let us sow with eternal (good) seed.

Dear Father, we thank You so much for Jesus, our Way. We thank You for our First Love, for our Creator, for He who sustains us and loves us. Father, help us to consume Your Word and to be bearers of Your Word and Your fruit.  Let us see that our lives are a witness. We thank You for our salvation, for the resurrection, for Light to men. Lord, help us to walk in Your light and to share that light with others. Father, forgive us when we turn from Your ways. Help us to hide Your Word in our hearts, to please You, to live in truth, for in Jesus, we have our being. In Jesus name, amen.
