Are You Feeling Worried or Stressed?

Christian, how content have you been feeling as of late? Be honest, are you feeling content and blessed right now? Or, are you feeling worried and stressed right now?

“Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.” (Proverbs 16:8 NIV)

The verse above tells us that it is better to have less from the Lord, but to have the peace and contentment that also comes from the Lord, than to have a ton without the Lord, and all the turmoil that comes with it. Christian, where are you right now with this? I know it is a challenge, for we all would like to have a bit more in our lives. But don’t you agree that it is better to be content and blessed rather constantly worried and stressed? In other words, more does not always mean better. Why? Because more might actually cause us to become bitter!

I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on men: God gives a man wealth, possessions and honor, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires, but God does not enable him to enjoy them, and a stranger enjoys them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.” (Ecclesiastes 6:1-2 NIV)

Christian, don’t try to climb the ladder of success without wisdom from the Lord…it can often lead to a difficult fall. Therefore, make a commitment today to offer your plans to the Lord, trusting Him to help you climb that ladder in the right way and at the right pace. He knows what is best for you and your family; He knows how to guide you to what is best for you and your family; and when God guides, He always perfectly provides!

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him—for this is his lot. Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God. He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.” (Ecclesiastes 5:18-20 NIV)

Shortly after, Andrew and Daniele moved to Croatia where they planted a church to reach, preach, and teach the good news of the Gospel to people there. Together, they established the first Lighthouse of Life church in Zagreb, Croatia.

Then in May 2010, they planted a second Lighthouse of Life church in South Florida. As the Lord leads, Andrew and Daniele strive to serve God’s call to advance His kingdom and glorify His name as they share the Gospel.  http://www.lighthouseoflife.com/
