elcome to the April issue of JournEzine! We’re thrilled you took time out of your busy schedule to browse this month’s articles. We pray you’ll find one or more that really speak into your life.
The traditional Resurrection Day celebration was very early this year, several weeks before Passover. In an attempt to focus on the Resurrection from a "less-than-traditional" point of view, this issue may be somewhat unusual. We're honored to include some new authors this month who will lead us to a greater understanding of the meaning of Passover and how it relates to us as Christians.
We are also thrilled this month to feature Mid Stutsman. Mid is a precious friend of this ministry and an accomplished author. But, before I give anymore away, let me simply encourage you to read her Interview and her feature story, Behold, the Lamb based on a true story in current headlines.
There’s something included in JournEzine that is sure to touch your heart, we promise. So, let's celebrate our Lord's resurrection together as you "open the pages" of April's issue of JournEzine.

INTERVIEW WITH MID STUTSMAN Jeanice McDade & Jan Ross
Mid is a precious friend of this ministry, a woman of many talents and a heart that is filled to overflowing with the goodness of God. She has inspired so many with her writing and her passion for the Lord. There seems to be no end to her love for those things which are near and dear to the Father’s heart which you’ll see as you join us for a heart-to-heart talk with Mid Stutsman.

BEHOLD, THE LAMB Mid Stutsman
Fiction based on the true story of Ami, the son of David Ortiz, a Messianic pastor in Israel. Ami is in a medically induced coma after he opened a Purim package that exploded last month. Please pray for his healing and for his precious family, who daily face persecution for proclaiming Yeshua as the Messiah. |

SPRING CLEANING Jan Ross
Great rejoicing broke out in Yachov’s humble home. It was indeed a night to remember – a special night not only for Rachel, but for her family and their friends who joined the anthems of praise for new and holy revelation to a young girl’s heart. Join this special Passover celebration. |

YESHUA IN THE PASSOVER Messianic Homeschooling
Yeshua also has a deeper connection with Pesach than just merely observing it. Knowing that he was raised in a traditional Jewish home, we know that Pesach was a very important part of his life. We also know that the early Messianic Jews considered Yeshua to be their Passover Lamb, as we also believe today. There are some striking parallels when we look deeper into Pesach and Yeshua’s role as the Passover Lamb.

PASSOVER LAMB Annette Galloway
Annette’s poem is a beautiful reminder to us all to celebrate Jesus Christ as the Passover Lamb. Oh yes! Saints will shout; let us do as the Passover Lamb. Deny ourselves, take up our cross, and glorify the Great I Am. |

RESURRECTION, PASSOVER AND CONSTANTINE Derek Leman
This is one of those years in which the majority of the Christian world will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus about a month before Passover comes. Easter falls on March 23 this year while Passover is on April 20 (first Seder at sundown on Saturday, April 19). Derek presents an enlightening as well as interesting discussion for our consideration.

THE AFIKOMAN – A MEDITATION ON PASSOVER Sean Emslie
As I told about the afikoman being hidden away and redeemed and relating how there is belief that the early Messianic Jews added the eating of the afikoman to the Seder as Yeshua said to be done "in remembrance of me", it hit me anew that this was a more powerful time and spiritual experience then I had realized in the past.

PASSOVER SEDER Michael Roepke
The Last Supper plays an indispensable part in Christian tradition, but how many of us really understand it? Even though we intellectually know that the Last Supper took place during Passover, few of us know enough about that event to make sense of the connection.

THE FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS A Study by Jack Kelley
Jack shares his study on this most often overlooked yet most important Feast … at least for the Christian. The year the Lord was crucified, Passover fell on a Thursday. Three days and three nights later it was Sunday morning, the Feast of First Fruits. And for several hundred years after that, the Sunday morning after Passover was known to Christians as Resurrection Morning.

HE BORE MY CROSS Allison Egley
I'm a woodworker by trade, though I doubt many people would want my job. I work for the Roman government. I help with the justice system by making sure criminals are given their fair punishment. You see, I make the crosses used in criminal executions.

THE CROSS – WHAT A LOVE STORY Jeanice McDade
I know I have been forgiven for my sins and reconciled to God – what a tremendously freeing revelation that is! I cannot take my responsibility as a Christian lightly. God is great enough to cover all of my sin and more.

FREEDOM Jan Ross
As Passover approaches, consider the first Passover and what it means to us today. Whether we are Jewish or Christian matters not ... Yeshua is our Passover Lamb; it is by His blood we are spared from death and freed from bondage.

JESUS RESURRECTED TO GIVE US NEW LIFE Filoiann Wiedenhoff
Most of us who have grown up in church have been taught the resurrection and the significance of why Christ rose from the dead, but what most people may fail to recognize in this very important event was His main purpose for doing it.

EASTER PLANS Cheryl Courtney Semick
They walked with Him for three years and each had plans of where it was all going. His many references to a kingdom spurred thoughts of overthrowing the current regime and freeing their people from its terror.

IF IT AIN’T BROKE … DON’T FIX IT Donald N. Mehl
Almost everyone at one time or another has experienced annoying little everyday frustrations involving new products, product changes, confusing labels, inadequate instructions, and misleading advertising. You’ll laugh along with Don as he shares his personal experiences.

A FAST-PACED WORLD Susan Martin
“Be still and know that I am God”. This is the time we need to walk away from our computers, turn off our cell phones, hand-held games, TV’s and everything else keeping us busy, get on our knees before God, take the time to hear His voice, and talk to Him.

SOMEONE ALONG THE WAY Betty Overstreet
I love the times I have stepped out of my comfort zone and hopefully been able to help in some way. We seldom have a chance to know if what we do really makes a difference, but God knows.

A GOD WHO CARES Gospel for Asia
In this time of need, Suren and his family needed to receive hope from their gods. But instead, the silence that followed their prayers filled their hearts with empty despair.

CHAROSET – PASSOVER RECIPE International Recipe
As with every detail of the Passover meal, the pasty Charoset has great significance. The more one studies the details of the Passover Seder, the more one realizes how intricately involved God is in man’s affairs, from the beginning of time until this day.
